💡 Bricklaying Tips
- Standard Brick: 50 bricks per m² (single skin), ~10mm mortar joints
- Besser Blocks: 12.5 blocks per m² (200mm), hollow cores can be filled
- Mortar Mix: 1:5 cement:sand for general brickwork, 1:4 for structural
- Joint Finish: Flush, weathered, or raked - affects mortar quantity slightly
- DPC Required: Damp proof course at minimum 150mm above ground level
- Reinforcement: As per AS 3700 - engineer to specify for structural walls
