Our Quality Guarantee
Every tradie verified, licensed, and insured
What We Promise
Every single tradie on Tradies Nation has been verified, licensed, and insured. We don't accept unlicensed operators, dodgy cash-only cowboys, or anyone we can't verify into our network. If someone's in our network, they've passed our checks.
This isn't a marketplace where anyone can sign up. This is a curated network of verified professionals who meet our standards.
What We Check
Trade License Verification
We verify every tradie's license with the relevant state licensing authority. We check the license is current, valid for the work they're advertising, and not suspended or cancelled. Electricians, plumbers, builders, gas fitters - if it needs a license, we check it.
Public Liability Insurance
Minimum $5 million public liability insurance required. We verify the policy is current, the coverage amount is adequate, and it covers the work they're doing. We request proof of currency - not just a certificate from 2 years ago.
Professional Indemnity (Where Required)
For trades that require professional indemnity insurance (like electrical contractors, building consultants), we verify this coverage is also in place and current.
ABN & Business Registration
We verify the ABN is registered for the business activities they're claiming. We check it's not cancelled or suspended. We confirm GST registration where required.
Reference Verification
We call references - we don't just collect email addresses. We speak to recent customers, ask about work quality, professionalism, pricing, and whether they'd hire them again. No references, no acceptance into our network.
Work Examples
We review photos and examples of recent completed work. We're looking for quality workmanship, professional finish, and consistency with the services they're claiming to offer.
Complaints History
We check for complaints with Fair Trading, licensing authorities, and our own records. A pattern of complaints means no acceptance into our network. We take quality seriously.
What's Guaranteed
✓ Licensed for the Work
Every tradie is licensed for the specific services they're advertising. Electricians have electrical licenses. Plumbers have plumbing licenses. Builders have building licenses. If the work requires a license in your state, the tradie has it.
✓ Properly Insured
Minimum $5 million public liability insurance, verified as current. If something goes wrong on site, proper insurance is in place. This protects both you and the tradie.
✓ Verified References
We've called their references and confirmed they do quality work. We don't just take their word for it - we check with actual customers who've used their services.
✓ No Unlicensed Operators
We don't accept handymen claiming to do electrical work without a license. We don't accept cash-only operators avoiding taxes. We don't accept anyone we can't verify. If they're in our network, they're legitimate.
✓ Real Business
Registered ABN, proper business structure, contactable details. These are real businesses, not someone with a ute and a mobile phone trying to undercut licensed professionals.

What To Do If There's an Issue
Step 1: Raise It With The Tradie
Most issues are miscommunications that can be resolved directly. Professional tradies will fix problems when brought to their attention. Give them the opportunity to make it right.
Step 2: Document Everything
Take photos of any issues. Keep copies of quotes, contracts, invoices, and communication. This documentation helps if you need to escalate the issue.
Step 3: Contact Us
If you can't resolve it directly, email complaints@tradies.jack1001.ai with:
- Tradie's name and contact details
- Description of the work and the issue
- Photos and documentation
- What resolution you're seeking
We'll investigate, contact the tradie, and work to mediate a resolution. Serious issues may result in removal from our platform.
Step 4: Know Your Rights
Under Australian Consumer Law, you have rights when engaging trade services:
- Services must be provided with due care and skill
- Services must be fit for purpose
- Services must be completed in a reasonable time
- You can seek refunds or compensation if work is substandard
