What We DON'T Collect:
- We do NOT use cookies or tracking technologies
- We do NOT collect IP addresses, browser types, or device information
- We do NOT use analytics or tracking software
- We do NOT collect payment card information (tradies pay via bank transfer)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Connect customers with verified tradies based on service needs and location
- Verify tradie credentials including licenses, insurance, and references
- Communicate about jobs, verifications, and service updates via email
- Improve our service through user feedback and quality monitoring
- Maintain records for business operations and dispute resolution
- Comply with legal obligations under Australian law
What we DON'T do with your information:

3. How We Share Your Information
For Customers: When you submit a job request, we share your contact details and job description with a verified tradie in your area via email. We do NOT:
- Create public listings with your information
- Share your details with multiple tradies simultaneously
- Sell your information to third parties
- Use your information for marketing purposes
For Tradies: Your business information is kept private. We do NOT create a public directory or listing that customers can browse. Your details are only shared when we connect you with a specific customer for a specific job.
We may disclose information when:
- Required by law (court orders, subpoenas, government requests)
- Necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property
- In connection with business transfers (sale, merger, acquisition)
- With service providers like FormSubmit.co (see Third-Party Services section)
4. Data Security
Your information is stored in email and standard business documents. We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
Our security measures include:
- Email accounts protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication
- Documents stored securely with access limited to authorized personnel only
- Physical and digital security of verification documents
- Regular review and deletion of old information
Important: No internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Email is not encrypted end-to-end, so sensitive information (like license numbers) should be sent with caution.
5. Data Retention
Customer Data: Job requests and contact details are retained in email records. We periodically review and delete old customer inquiries, typically after 24 months or once no longer needed for business purposes.
Tradie Data: Verification documents and business information are retained while you're in our network, plus a reasonable period after removal for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
You can request deletion of your data by contacting legal@tradies.jack1001.ai. We will delete your information from our records, though we may retain some information as required by Australian law (e.g., for tax, dispute resolution, or legal compliance).

FormSubmit.co: Our contact forms are processed through FormSubmit.co, a third-party form handling service. When you submit a form, your information passes through their servers before being emailed to us. FormSubmit.co may collect technical information as part of their service. Email: Form submissions and ongoing communication happen via email. Your email provider may collect data about emails sent/received.
We have no control over third-party privacy practices and are not responsible for them.
